Folder lock system..??

I'd say Tri-Ad is probably the stronger than any lock that has more knives produced out in the world at similar prices. Some of the small run makers and customs have locks that might be stronger, or at least comparable.

I'd say a well done Tri-Ad, but those new Spyderco Militaries with Titanium with the circle preventing the bar from being move look extremely strong.
Strongest locks:
Compression, Tri-Ad, Titanium Framelock
Axis style locks(Hawk,Wedge,Ultra, and Arc)
Bolt Action (Not sure about that strength though)
Decent Lockbacks
Thick liner locks

I agree. After that would be Tri-Ad.

Good point. Balisongs and Cold Steel's Paradox and Black Rock Hunter, and I think some other manufacturers have knives like those too.

yeah i just remembered the paratrooper knives and theyre locking mechanism, seems pretty strong as well, its a shame no one makes a modern version any more except smith and wesson

The way Hinderer designs his frame locks on knives like the XM-18 and the ZT 0550 with the thumbstud acting as a stop pin on the titanium frame, that seems like one of the stronger designs for lateral stress. That along with the frame lock may be the overall strongest in all directions (vertical + lateral strength). In terms of strictly being able to take vertical stress, the Tri-Ad lock seems like the top contender.
