  This is just MHO. How many guys NEED a folder rather than just WANT s folder?

I have a CCW,so whatever I can hide,I can carry. So far,the SH is the biggest I can get away with. So everything smaller is a shoe in. NO's,BA's,Basic5's,SJ's and so on. So the question is do I need a folder? No. Will I buy one? Yes. Will I carry it? Also yes,but in addition to a fixed blade. Not in place of,no way. I own 2 folders, only 1 of which I can locate. After buying my first quality fixed blade (SRKW HR) I've never looked at folders the same again. (The one I can locate is in my work bag)

My question is...Do you NEED a Busse quality folder because of local laws or whatever? This I can totally understand and agree with. Or do you want one for the kewlness factor? This I can also understand, cause that's why I'll be getting it.

OK, flame away!:p :p

I don't even want to know why you are sitting on your folder. There are better ways of concealing them Stinky! :D

Wet,

I have a concealed carry permit as well but, in Alaska that only applies to pistols... not knives. As ignorant as that sounds, there are no laws against open carry of knives, making the ccp issue just that much more stupid.

As for whether I "need" one... in reality, I probably would live a long and happy life without one. However, if I can carry a folder and use it openly while keeping my other "tools" concealed and in reserve... so much the better. Even in Alaska, there is a growing and increasingly annoying number of sheeple who are frightened by the bad and scary knives.:grumpy:

{edited because I can't type and spell at the same time...}

To the extent that I can carry a folder anywhere, it would be nice to have a folder that I could carry everywhere.

Our laws are almost as stupid. You can carry firearms on down....tasers zappers blackjacks knucks switchblades...whatever as long as it's CONCEALED. If it shows you're busted for improper display. I've had cops fret about the blade I was carring and not give a frick about the 1911 in the IWB. Crazy. "Yes officer it's a big knife, but I really don't carry a knife to a gunfight"

Skunky, the funny little thing on the top of the can is a POP TOP!! USE IT TO OPEN THE CAN!!!

I've told you before, you don't have to cut the lid off with your knife....

Do I NEED one? No. My AD covers my EDC needs just fine. Do I WANT one, and will I get one? Yes.

I need a Busse folder, sure. I mean, schools around here are pretty lax about folding knives, but they really don't like the concept of folks carrying fixed blades.

I'm afraid to do much with my Gerber EZ-Out besides keep it hair popping sharp and unused. I want a knife that's hair popping sharp and that I'm not afraid will snap if I pry open a paint can lid.

Screwdriver? We don't need no steenkin screwdriver.

I own and carry both but folders are more sheeple
friendly in the state that I currently reside in.

Well, it's kinda like when I met Dream Girl, my bride of 32 years now.
I probably could have gotten through life without her, but I knew dang well I didn't want to try.

Being former military, I fully believe in the three knife concept..... A larger fixed blade accompanied by an easy access folder and a multi-tool...... as a plumber, this has changed very little in my point of view....except that I'm even harder on the blades now that ever! In the past two years, I've broken Bucks, Gerbers, a Benchmade, and a Smith and Wesson SWAT..... my Leatherman WAVE is still going strong, and my Busse NO and Satin Jack... well, let's just say they have narry a mark on them! Do I need a Busse folder? Yes I do..... I'm tired of thowing money down the drain (pun intended) so to speak. Seems pretty sad to me when my SAK has lasted longer than most companies so called tactical folders:( The only folder I have that has even come close to the abuse I put it through is my Emerson Mini-Commander, and I'm not sure how long it can hold up!!!:grumpy: Time will tell I guess.
