When you pros use a bushing in the blade pivot, do you make the bushing the same length as the blade thickness or a couple thousandths longer?
Thanks up front!!!

Never made one myself. I know that CRK uses a bushing in the Sebenza that is a few thousandths greater than blade thickness. I have seen the same in other folders with bushings. This lets the pivot be tightened down all the way, without pinching the blade, so tightening or loosining the pivot doesn't affect the action.

Well I'm not a pro but until someone suggests a better way, I make the length of my bushings: the blade thickness, the thickness of two washers, and + - .002"

I use a ball bearing pivot that is less in thickness
add 2 Nilatron or Mylar washers and size the hold down pin
to just over the total thickness of the blade and washers by
adding +.0015 plus + - .0005 normaly -.0005
then tighten, I've found using the screw to adjust the tension
will loosen up sooner than the washers will ware
so it's less time consuming to work the hold down pin
once a year or so.
