Folder Pivot Tension?

Hey:

Anybody (everybody?) know if the pivot tension is user adjustable in the folders? Is it Loctited? Just got my AR today, (thanks, Mike!!!) and it's smooth, but my GB is very stiff compared to the AR. The liner on the GB is completely on the blade (this sucker is solid) while the AR 2/3 on the blade. I'm not sure if it's this higher liner tension or pivot tension. Ya need a strong thumb, you can't flick it open. Not rough, just stiff. Not a big enough problem to send the piece back to the Striderguys for adjustment, just looking to improve an already great knife.

I do believe that the pivot is Loctited, I could be wrong...

Have you tried to lube the folder?

We do loctite them.
If you have problems, feel free to send it in.

I tried a good lube, (Miltech) with no success. When I send it in for a sharpening I'll have the Striderguys adjust it.
