Folder questions

Hi guys,
I started my lastest attemp at a folder today, It is comming along pretty good, I think this one will become my first folder that works I just have a few questions on how to do the last few things


First, I could use any advise on grinding the main bevels, how do you hold your blade?

second, How do go about laying out your locks and how do you fit them to the blade? and what angle will work best for where the lock and the blade
mate up?



Any help will is greatly needed

I will say you have balls making a folder before you know how to hold a blade
just kidding I know what you mean, some guys grind two blades
at the same time end for end and then cut the two apart one acts as the holder for the other while grinding. and some grind the bevels
once in place in the folder..I hope this helps..

I made a handle that I screw my folder blades to. This make them easier to hold onto since the tangs are so short.
