folder to fixed?

getting tired of my folders but i do like many of the blade shapes (i bought them after all). is there any way to use a folder blade to make a fixed and still have a decent amount of strength in it? has anyone done this? all help and suggestions are appreciated. thanks guys

I guess if you take a 4" blade, you could technically turned it into a 1.5 inch fixed blade with a 2.5" handle. Lots of work I would bother doing though.

Weld a tang extension onto the back of the blade, and then make it a hidden-tang?
