Folder With 5" Blade?

I'm looking for a folder with a locking blade, around 4-1/2" to 5-1/2". I know Cold Steel makes the TiLites, Voyagers, Vaqueros, etc. and Benchmade makes the LFK, but are there any others? Just looking for a folder with a locking blade and a pocket clip in this size range. I've not been too impressed with the Voyagers and the Cold Steel Spartan just doesn't feel right to me, and the Pocket Bushman is out (I don't like all-metal handles).

My price range is around $120 or less. Any thoughts?

How about that SOG Pentagon Elite 2? It's 5" but unfortunately serrated on part of it.
The remington Echo II is 4.5."

The Spyderco Police is almost there at 4 3/8" blade length. Think it can be found for close to your price limit as well (maybe a tad bit more).

The SOG Spec Elite is a 5" blade, with a slight recurve, or it can be had with partially serrated blade.

There's also the SOG Spec Elite II. It has a different blade shape than the Pentagon Elite II and no serrations.

me2 beat me to the punch.

I was on the same quest, and settled for Spyderco Police.

I think Gerber still makes its 4.5" Applegate/Fairbairn folder. I've got one that I bought years ago and it didn't come with a clip. Not sure about the new ones or what the cost is now.

Sog Spec Elite or Pentagon Elite (the bigger one and the new VG-10 ones) though I'm been disappointed with Sog lately but I won't blame the older offerings.

Cuda Maxx is a good s30v folder but goes for around 150-200.

Really take a look at the new Cold Steel Voyagers. San Mai (VG-1 core), Tri-ad lock and full screw system instead of rivets. Around your price range. And probably, from what I expect of Cold Steels "Proof" videos, can stab through a car door as well :)

The new 5.5" vaquero and tanto voyageurs should be excellent knives for the money. I've got virtually all of CS,s extra large folders and they're all great knives, As well as Sog's current 5" PE II and Spec-elite " [both of with I have and like] Sog is also offering a new 4.75" Sogzilla and 4.3' Toothlock. Please don't allow yourself to get sucked into the truly silly tempest in a teapot about whether these last two knifes look too much like Spyderco or Benchmade. Virtually every knife out there looks quite a bit like some earlier knife made by someone, somewhere.

I would take the G10 Police. It's an old design that's been refined and refined to what it is today.

I can't recommend them because I'm not a Cold Steel fan and have never owned any of these knives but the Cold Steel Rajah series have 6" blades in a folder.

This is more than you wanted to spend but I believe it would be well worth it. I plan on getting one of these myself. Benchmade 741 Lum design.

I am also a fan of oversized folding knives. I recommend the Cold steel Rajah II which is 6 inches, and it's heavy weight champ IMHO. You won't find a bigger stronger folder and if you do I'd like to hear about it.

If you're not into the Kukuri style of the Rajah, you might like this one:

I have a Lone Wolf Ranger by William W Harsey and it has a 4 7/8" long blade of CPM-S30V. It is a big heavy duty type knife and a liner lock with a big pocket clip and mine is a very well made example but I believe some were not real good quality. I paid $180 for mine brand new but that was from a outfitters store in Jackson Hole Wyoming so you should be able to get one a lot cheaper.

I have a Voyager XL and love it. If you don't like CS offerings, then I would suggest SOG Spec Elite.
