folder with reversed combo edge? Serrated near tip?

Looking for a good locking folder with a serrated blade for cutting rare steak up front and whittling with plain edge towards the back of the blade. I just dont get why most knives have that miniscule serrated area at the back. I guess it is good for rope, but anyway, does anyone know of a mass production knife with the blade I am looking for? Tx!

I am thinking about a Griptillian 550 combo or a Kershaw Avalanche if I can't find one with the combo revesersed because those 2 seem to have larger serrated sections. Good choices? Other ideas? TX again!

The Timberline EMT is the only knife that comes to mind.

It may be possible to buy a plain edge knife and get serrations ground into it, but that would require a lot of metal removal. I've never seen it done, but I don't see why not.

Wow, good find on the folder, JClaude...I couldn't think of any folders...although I did come up with a few fixed-blade solutions :)

Busse Flying Badger

Busse Flying Tiger

I have the Victorinox Trailmaster that locks and has small serrations at the front of the blade with the rear of the blade plain edge.

Not a bad knife for around $30
