Can anybody please share information about the status of folding knives in California?
Can I order several manual folders to mail them to another country?

California has several knife laws, can you be more specific about what information you're looking for?

I'm not sure exactly what you're asking, but there is no law against a person in California ordering manual folders and mailing them to other countries. Or, if you are in another country, and you want to order a manual folder from California, there is no law against someone in California mailing it to you.

You are actually right.
Question in the field of owning (not carrying) knives in California. A quick search only yielded information that it is illegal to carry automatic knives over 2.5 inches without a special permit.
For some reason I can't order the knife directly from the store to my country and I wanted to ask a friend to order the knife to his address in California, so that the friend can then ship the knife to me.
Before I do, I want to make sure my friend doesn't get in trouble with the law for it. He's not gonna carry it. He's just gonna get it and ship it to me

Yes, it's perfectly legal for your friend in California to order a manual folder and ship it to you. There are export laws here in the US that restrict shipping several items to certain countries, but folding knives are not one of them.

On a separate point, just for the sake of accuracy, to legally carry a switchblade in California the blade must be under 2 inches long (however in some cities/counties in California it's illegal to possess a switchblade of any size), and there is no permit one can acquire in California that would allow a person to legally carry a switchblade with a blade 2" or longer.
