Eddie

Can you be any more specific? Are these solely for collection purposes or are you including all knives you may use more than once? (What's the price range?)

Figure out what you like. Buy it. Repeat.

That's all there is to it. Easier than falling off a log.

If you are having a really hard time, visit the Traditional Folding Knives subforum here (visit it regardless).

Thanks Guys
I am looking to start with Case. Not sure why just what my Grandpa carried. Is their a list somewhere on the Forum for the most collectable Folders?

What do you mean by "most collectible"? If you are collecting current Case knives expecting them to be an investment...don't bother. They are user/collector knives...they are too mass produced to go up in value.

So...pick out the materials or patterns you like and start buying. Agai...simple as falling off a log.

Thanks Guys
I was looking for something that I could pass on to the Grandkids that may be worth something years from now.

If you mean a knife that is worth money, it will be pretty hard to tell. Probably not production knives, I guess. And, in general, I don't really think a knife can turn out to be a good investment in terms of money, altho some might be for sure. Either way, I'm not the best one here for such evaluation.
But, remember, a knife can be worth alot more for its story.
To me, a good production knife that you have carried and used alot will be worth more to your grandkids than any "sterile" like-new knife, no matter if it's a custom.
You said you remember your grandfather carrying a Case. That knife, even in perfect condition, would be probably worth very little now, in terms of money. But, if you had it in your hands now, after seeing it in your grandpa's hands for 20 years, it would surely mean alot to you, and be worth alot.
