looking at MT and BM folders
which is better, liner lock\axis\other?
any other recommendations?
would a folder be usable as a skinning knife? or would it get F***ed to hell upon getting covered in blood?

(more specifically BM 721,735, 710 in BT, or SOCOM elite)

It depends on the knife. Some linerlocks are made better than others, but both Microtech and Benchmade make outstanding knives. I doubt you'll ever have any problems with Benchmade's Axis folders. I just can't see anyone using a Microtech SOCOM to skin game, but the Benchmade Pardue designed model 720 or the 721 would make a good skinner.

The solid G-10 handle of the 721 would probably be beter for hunting purposes as it's texture offers a sure grip.

I would tend to agree with el cid, but make sure that you are able to wash your knife immediately after skinning. Dried blood can become like cement if it sets up in the nooks and crannies of the axis lock mechanism - not a good thing.
