Am I the only person who would line up to buy a Buck Alpha Hunter folder in a full drop point or spear point blade? maybe a hair thicker than the standard blade but not as thick as the CSAR or the Bravo? It bothers me that the tip on mine sits about 3/4" inside the handle when closed, if the tip got moved back 1/2" it would open up some more belly on the blade. I know its meant as a hunting knife for skinning game and that its tip is left that was for a reason, but I still want one, anyone else? Anyone know how to photoshop one up so we can have a look?

Call, I know exactly what you mean. I've thought that for years; make the most efficient use of the space, deeper belly and correct the choil and this would really get my attention. I really like the features of this folder; laynard hole, steel frame, self cleaning, ease of changing handles or blade and smooth opening. I've been working on such a modification off and on for sometime. When I get it complete I'll post a photo of it. DM

If its something like the CSAR with the tanto corner rounded off in ATS-34 or a premium carbon steel.... put me on the top of the waiting list.
