Folding Alpha Hunter thumb stud?

I recently picked up a 277 Folding Alpha Hunter with an ATS-34 blade. This was a left over new knife. The scales had scratches that looked like from sliding around in the box. I sent it in to Buck and received it back today, the scales are new but now the thumb stud is loss.

Does anyone know if these are pressed in or threaded? If a can I would like to take care of it without sending it back in. This was the 4th time sending a new knife for repair this year and I would like to save shipping and time if possible. I have turned the stud by hand and it gets tight, but after a couple of times opening it loosens up again. I just thought I would ask before I try any tools to tighten it and then find out it’s pressed in.

Thanks for your help,

Can't help you on the stud but was just wondering if you had gotten all four knives from the same place which I presume wasn't Buck directly?

No, not all the same place.

110 Cabela’s AG loose (side to side) blade
110 BPS CPM-154 loose (side to side) blade
L.L.Bean Alpha Dorado scale on one side was loose, the scale hole did not line up with the hole in the handle.

* I based the blade play against my other 110’s, I have 8. I have a couple that have slight side to side. The ones I sent in had much more.
