Folding blade blanks?

I really want to try to put together a folding knife and try to do some hand fitted scales. Does anyone know of a good source for quality blade blanks, in something like S30V, VG10, D2, something nicer than nameless stainless? I know a lot of places have the all in one kits, but I'd rather try to do something a little custom'ish and higher end, and while I have some smithing experience it's more decorative iron work so I think a folding blade is out of my league.
