Hey guys, here's one I fininshed up last week. 3-3/4'' W1 blade with a fairly active hamon, mosaic bolsters, fossil walrus ivory. Thanks for taking a look :)

OK Don, you know I'm going to have to slap you for this. :) You're just lucky it doesn't have blue ivory, that's all I'm gonna say...

But seriously, you call that an active Hamon on a folding dagger? :D

Gee, Don, that would be an attractive mate for a knife that I know!
It might not be blue ivory, but you do have the knack for picking nice materials. And I love the double bolsters (but you know that).:D

OK Ari, yours is mo better lookin than mine :D

Well Don, if that's your real name, :) mine was made by Don Hanson III, you are obviously just a wannabe. :D

All I can think about right now is that mine is lonely and needs a friend. :)

BTW, when you say "mine", am I to assume it is still in your possession? :p

Or, alternately, what are skull crushers running these days? :)

That hamon has a wicked 3D effect !

Don. . . .tell more about the mosaic bolsters.

Overall, I'd have to give you   . . . .only because I have two hands with two thumbs ! :D

shaldag - Your dagger looks mo better than Ari's :D Seriously, these few daggers I've made are one of a kind pieces and I was very pleased with each as I finished them.

Ari - This one left here last week but you're right, you do need another :D

Gig - I forged the bolsters just for this dagger, I wanted the mosaic elements to be arranged in a symmetrical way to fit the dagger. The new owners initals along with two sunfish are in the middle. Faces, critters and my initials are at the front corners and diagonal bar stock pattren are at the back corners along with two radial elements centered front and back.

OK STeven, I'm ready for you :D but I already know that you don't like the screws.

Thanks for all the replys, much appreciated.

Thanks Don.

Again, beautiful knife and superb craftsmanship (not shocking) ! :D

I have trouble accepting the fact that a nice guy like Don Hanson III, could actually be the Devil's Executive VP in charge of Temptation. Seriously, this guy has to be stopped, before it is TOO LATE! ;)

Don, do you have a pic of the folding dagger that you made for me?
I would like to see all three of these in the same thread. If you want to give us some serious eye candy, you could post pics of all the folding dagers that you have made, including the damascus blades.

Great looking dagger! The hamon is amazing.
Now I got to persuade myself I don't need another Hanson ... at least not one that bends in the middle :D

Don....You just don't play fair!!!

I just love this piece. Your style is distinctive and always so well executed. I think you will go down in history as one of the great folder makers.
