Folding Ergohunter?

I saw a pic of a folding ergohunter, but can't remember any details. Is such an item on the horizon, and if so, when would it come out, and any more specifics?

The only "Ergo" hunters I've seen in the catalogs are fixed blades. Are you perhaps thinking of the "Omni" hunter? That model has both fixed and folders offered.

If I recall correctly, this one had the distinctive ergohunter grips, but was folding.

The Ergo Hunter line was introduced in the 2009 catalog and there are no folders shown in that or the mid-year catalogs. I'd be very interested in knowing where you saw it.

Me too! Bob you locate a picture, post a link will ya? Thanks.

"Buck offers One-Hand-Opening ErgoHunters" Page 116 Spring 2010 issue of Blade magazine. There was also an article about collecting vintage Bucks in the same issue.

In the Dec BCCI club news C.J. buck mentions a protype and that they will be introduced at the Shot show in Las Vegas in Jan.

Thanks guys for bailing me out. My ageing memory is failing me, and I really couldn't remember where online I saw the picture.

I dunno, as much of a handfull as the fixed blade one is, unless it was slimmed down considerably it would be a very bulky folder.

They do exist, coming into production soon. They feel good in your hand, they don't seem too bulky at all.

I'm sure it would feel good in the hand just as the fixed blade does. I meant that folded, it seems like it would be a little too much of a folder for me. I'm sure I'll find out when they are released.:D

To give you a size comparison, the Ergo Folder is a good 1 1/2" shorter then a 110 in the open position. Its also about 3oz. lighter. It is about 1/4" wider in some places because of the ergo handle but it is nothing like its big brother when it comes to size and bulk.

We have to be talking about two different animals here. The ErgoHunter's (495, 497, 498) dwarf the 110.

The OP said folding "ErgoHunter" , but could the one coming out actually be a folding model of the "ErgoHunter Small Game" (490, 491, 492)?

Yes the Folding Ergo Hunter. Same shape, Just think of the fixed bladed version shrunken down by 40% in a folding frame.

Those of you who have access to the on line 2010 Buck catalog take a look at page #7.
Folding Erohunter Pro: 598, S30V, wood & rubber handle, msrp $170.00.
Folding Erohunter Avid: 597, 12C27, green nylon & rubber handle, msrp $88.00.
Folding Erohunter Select: 595, 420HC, black nylon & rubber handle, msrp $73.00.
It is the cover knife for the catalog.
