I noticed that Cabelas offers a 3 1/4 inch blade folding hunter with a saw in 440C, Browning offers one in 440C (Aus 8 ?) with a synthetic handle but it also has a guthook. A folding hunter with a saw seems like a useful package, I thought that a 4in blade and saw would be nice, and noticed that in an older catalog Schrade offered what appears to be a 4in blade with a saw in their Old Timer series. Evidently the saw had a lock and I'm assuming that it was a carbon steel model, which I would prefer. I have one of similar size with a single blade and liner lock, have seen the two bladed folding hunter, but have never seen the one with the saw for sale, in a store or on the web. Anyone know anything about this model ? Know where one is for sale ?
Puma seems to offer some folding hunters with saws but they're pretty expensive and are probably the 440A type of steel. Some of the larger SAKs also have nice saws but again I'm looking for a better steel on the blade.
