Hi folks. I've been out of commission for a while due to back surgery but I finally got well enough to get back into the shop and make a new one.

This is an auto karambit (kerambit?) in which the blade and ring both fold. It is also opened with one button. Pretty neat, huh?

The Blade is 1/8" S30V
The Ring is 1/4" 440C
The Liners are 1/16" 6AL4V Titanium
The Scales are Carbon Fibre
Closed 5 inches
Open 7 inches
Weight is 6 3/4 oz. (189.2 grams)

This is my first one of these, I hope you all like it. Thanks for looking.

I thought an auto kerambit was a good idea. Then I read that both the ring and the blade fold, even better idea. Then I read that both open with the same button, this makes this a great idea.

Is this a world's first?

Airyq, thank you glad you like it!! As far as I know, this is the only one in the world. :D

Thank you Mr. Mayo!!! Where's my Buck? :D

Thank you Mr Appleby!! :D

That's a cool idea. I also like the seatbelt cutter addition. I'm not normally a fan of karambits (just not my style), but I like this one.

thats really innovative! i like how the ring can fold in along with the blade

Nifmaker;

I am personally a fan of the Karambit, and consider it to be more than just a "fad", and I am always discussing/debating the benefits, and effectiveness of the karambit, as well as supporting it's continuation.

It's great to see someone whom not only has created a Karambit of their own, but whom has taken the initiative to bring innovation to an already efficient design.
The way in which both the blade, and the finger ring fold in to the handle, is purely unique, original, and an excellent feature, and I personally have never seen or heard of this being done before. Even better is that you have automated the process, with the push of a button.

For your first auto-karambit, it is absolutely superb! :D , and I anticipate your next creation, and must honestly say that I think this design has much potential, and I hope to see it evolve, and become a successful product. :)

Thanks everybody for looking and the nice comments!!! :D

Infamous, if they are a fad, they have been a fad for several hundred years. They have been around forever (more or less) and have recently been "re-discovered". Glad you like the idea and thanks for the well-wishes!! :D

Wow that is one of the coolest knives I have ever seen! I love it! I am also a big fan of karambits.

I have an idea for your next one..put the button at the ring side so that when you open it, the ring opens upward and the blade downward and it is ready to be gripped like a karambit.

Thanks Pete, glad you liked it!!

RL, all you have to do is turn it in your hand and push the button with your ring finger for the reverse grip position.

Out of the box thinking. Fantastic.

I would love to get a video of it up. Is that possible?

Sorry N8 I don't have the ability to do a video clip.
