Folding Karambit

I´m looking for a good quality folding karambit. Those $10 thingies on the bay seem a bit dodgy, considering this would be a self-defense tool. I´m ok with cutting weeds and packaging with a cheapo, but for other purposes, I´d prefer to spend a bit more and get top-notch.

Which ones would you guys recommend?

TIA.

5.11 tarani tactical in g10 and s30v.

I had the emerson and sold it but I kept the 5.11.

+10 on the 5.11 over the EKI.
Add a full Ti backspacer to the EKI and I like it mo'betta , but still favor the 5.11

Though if you can find a CKT Karambit , they rock.

I just got the Mantis kerambit and wow!

Well for starters I was thumbing the edge becuase I'm irresponsible and all, and managed to take the top layer of skin off of my thumb.

Huge thick frame lock, and I'm not worried on how it will hold up.

I'm going to probibly use it as my new cable ripper knife when I'm doing line work because I feel that comfortable with it.

(that and it's cheap enough that if I do unfortunatly lose it or drop it a long ways down I would be less annoyed than if I did it with an emerson.)

Just got the 5.11 Master karambit for $112.50 shipped (internationally)! Really good quality knife and it is scary sharp. Because of the shape of the blade, when the knife is closed, it is perfect for using the ring as an impact weapon. I have quite a few karambits now:

1. Master USA Emerson clone
2. Cold Steel Tiger
3. A handmade, one-piece D2 karambit with Micarta slabs from a custom knifemaker in China of all places. Over 1/4" thick!
4. The 5.11 Master C.U.B.

I also have the Spyderco on its way. Sounds like I need an Emerson too to see which one I prefer. The best one of the folders will become an EDC knife. :)

Really? Now that's what I like to hear. I'll have to check one out.

+1 on the Derespina Model 10. Excellent.

I really liked the Coogler K-Bit I used to have.
