Folding Kerambit

Nice, but US$450!?! I would think that by definition a combat/defensive knife would be more of an EDC than a collectors piece. I have (good) guns that cost less!
 
I second that one.

Spyderco, you already have one hole, why not two?
 
They are 450 dollars because the blades are hand ground..the production versions will be cheaper.

Not exactly a kerambit, but pretty close.
 
Looks like a nice design but, I hate chisel grinds.
 
There's also a cheaper version at wowinc.com (BOSS section)
And it looks even better IMO.
 
There are existing drawings of Spyderco Folding Kerambits, ones that I designed and are on file with Spyderco...they have KinOp syystems, holes at both ends...
The First version of one will be the mini Gunting called the TUSOK.
Its basically a kerambit based tool..
The photo of Laci Szabos folding UUK is a type of Kerambit..it used to be made only as a custom knife..I don't think threre are immediate plaNS TO MAKE IT A PRODUCTION sPYDERCO...
The ATR photo confuses me..its not a Kerambit of any kind..oopps I see a Laci Szbo folder in the corner...OK...
Ernies Kerambit is very cool.. I played with the proto.
yes it waves open..
His handgrounds are worth the money and later productions are worth the money that he will charge..
There are custom EDC knives that sell for 1os of thousands of dollars..
If price is how you decide..well so be it,,
Buy what you can afford to spend ..whether or not that money would have bought another type of product at a diffrent scale of pricing...
WOW is doing Leongs knife..again a nice knife..watch out for the "hole" for the blade travels through the hole..so keep your finger out of the hole till fully opened or closed...
other than that a very good folding Kerambit

I hope to see some of you @ the NYC Custom Show tommorow..

Soooo...the WOW kerambit can also double as a cigar-cutter, huh? That's kind of cool (too bad I gave up stogies years ago).

I am glad to see this subject come up again, and once again state my support for the idea of a Spyderco Kerambit. My credit card is standing by.... This is assuming the blade does NOT pass through the hole.

Bram's design is one he'd been working on for some time. The Kerambit is a beautiful dedsign with many centuries of refinement.

Both Bram and Ernie are ahead of their time. Bram wanted us to make one a year ago. We have so many new designs alreqdy in the works at this time that anything else is at least a year away. We'll watch for a while. I heard that there were already a few more in the works from different makers. We were trailing in the neck knives, but I think that we ended up creating a better Neck knife.

Bram. We just finished the Tusok folder proto. I'm playing with it this weekend. I'll send it to you on Monday.
