So I have exactly 100 bucks left. The blade should be at least 3.35" and not over 4". Recommendations for any brands appreciated, except Spyderco(just don't like their designs) Benchmade and ZT(both not available under 100 where I live). Kershaw is also only available at msrp prices here.

Any type of locking mechanism is okay. The most important thing is good build quality. Steel doesn't have to be high end, but also not complete garbage.

Knife shall be used as edc.

Below 100 bucks I already have/had the Recon 1, Oso Sweet, CRKT Ripple, Rat 1

Thanks.

Steel Will C22-1BK. D2 and FRN. Or up your budget by $50 for the C22-2BK. M390 and G10.

Any of the budget models from We Knives: 617, 701, 709, 703. There may be a few more, that's all the model numbers I could find with a quick search.

If you have had the recon 1 and liked it I think the lawman makes a nice EDC oriented variant. Or the Code 4.

Buck has a few interesting options that may work, I think the selkirk is a pretty looking knife.

I also really like the kizer beglieter as an EDC knife, it has proportions pretty similar to a BM 940. Not sure what those for where you're at but they're well priced in the US. I've been pretty impressed with a lot of the Kizer vanguard series.

I would get a Carbon fiber handle Real Steel Sea Eagle and a Ontario Rat folder. Or get the Sea Eagle and a fixed blade. Definitely get the Carbon fiber handled one though.

you should try a spyderco regardless of design and your taste. thats what i said before i bought one. then i did and i use it constantly. best working knife and ergo's ever. also huge amount of steel choices. but hey, to each his own. just saying you should try it.

Kizer vanguard series are pretty good for the price. I have the vanguard sovereign and I was impressed by the fit and finish. You can notice inside is where the finish is well not so finished. It doesn't affect function though. Look at the Ontario utilitac. It has aus8 tanto or drop point with a slight recurve. Two different handle styles and satin or black blade.

House of Blades offers a very nice Kershaw Link with S35VN steel in either Red or Blue anodized aluminium. The blade falls 1/10th of an inch below your requirement.

The WE Knife budget line, Kizers or check out the Steel Will Cutjack. The Kershaw Emerson series are decent too for $30.

I dunno, I got the Sea Eagle with carbon fiber and ended up wishing I had the G10 as that would be grippier. Nonetheless, I really like the Sea Eagle and find that the 14C28N steel takes a very sharp edge and holds it well. Nice size and build quality.

Yeah it is grippier, but I have the g10 as well, and had to take a rotary tool to the area behind the pocket clip so it wouldn't chew up my pocket. I do that to all my Spyderco G10 scales too. I really like the smooth carbon fiber scales. Just depends on what you prefer. Everyone is different.
They do have a very good heat treat on their 14C28N. Holds a really good edge and sharpens up razor sharp. Reminds me of well done Aeb L

Thanks everyone for your suggestions. I considered long but ended up deciding to take the Sea Eagle Carbon and the small Buck Selkirk. Fits exactly into my budget.

Good call on the Sea Eagle. The Selkirk looks nice too. Let us know what you think after you get them!
