Folding knife

It would help with recommendations if you could provide some info on the type of knife - traditional slip joint or locking folder, what day-to-day uses you would be using it for, preferred size (length), etc.

You would also need to keep in mind the knife laws regarding blade length and opening mechanism types for knives legal to be carried in your states (CT and MA) as well as any TOWN regulations. I know many MA towns have length restrictions, and MA also has restrictions on assisted-opening knives in some towns.

40 degree angle, recurved blade, convex, black handles with stonewashed d2 steel, liner lock, sheer point, and it's ok if it's $80 to $130

Lol. I know who this is.

Nick. You have no idea what you are talking about. There are no recurve convexes that I know of. And you can set your own edge angle. If stock edge angle is a deal breaker your being way too picky.

D2 is a good steel but not as common as s30v and 154cm that are most common. In a folder s30v is great, as is 154cm. Zero Tolerance is where its at if you want recurve. The only d2 folder that comes to mind is the benchmade Adamas, its a beast but not recurved and has axis lock.

Seriously you can't really go wrong with the big 3; Spyderco, Bench made, and Kershaw/ZT

PS: Emerson is nice too and the Horseman is close to your price range. I'm gonna get a cqc 15 soon :)

You want a convex 40 degree angle? I don't think i've ever seen that. What is a sheer point? My vote goes to the Kershaw Blur. There is no D2, but S30V should do well for you, it's been a great knife for me and the warranty will cover you when the time comes.
