Looking to find the best budget blades to add to my EDC rotation. Any lock types, materials, anything. Thanks.

As noted above, there are a few traditional knife options out there. For modern folding knives, I'd take a look at Sixleaf sold through their eBay dealers. This is partly because of their sales strategy, and partly because this particular brand isn't as well known. They put these up for auction, and they often sell for under $20. I don't think you could really do better than that for this type of knife; they feel much nicer than the Sanrenmus or Enlans that are known for being in that price range.

We forgot about the Higonokami!

Also, look up "kiridashi". Been used in Japanese schools for arts and crafts for, well, a long while. Comes in all sizes, mostly fixed, a few folding

A search for "grafting knife" will get you some low-cost options. Some of them are quite handsome, and the nature of their work should mean thin blades that cut with little effort.

How about a straight up utility knife? There are some very nice vintage examples from places like Stanley, over at the auction site. Just be careful, because some of them don't allow the blade to retract.

Another favorite of mine is the "mill knife", also called a "hacking knife", or sometimes a "window knife". Tough, ugly things that you won't be afraid to beat on, because that's what they were made to do.

Did somebody mention Mora? Somebody should have said something about Mora. Tramontina, too. They make some inexpensive cutlery.

If you head over to the website for Baryonyx Knife & Tool,

You can find knives from both of these companies. That link should be sorted by ascending price.

I really like this one:

The Swiss Army 2 is probably the cheapest full size alox version from Victorinox. I really really like it.

It can easily fit in a very small wallet or pouch and disappears in the pocket.

Sixleaf folders go for 20ish bucks on ebay. Theyre full sized, on bearings, and the steel seems decent. On amazon Ganzo makes some cool replica spydercos with axis locks. Their steel was a little soft on the one I tried but who cares strop it on a 2x4

Replicas - another word for clones, which are frowned upon on BF.
