Hello everyone,
I'm looking for a new folding knife but I'm in a bit of a pickle, I can't choose between a:
Extrema Ratio MF1 ( http://www.extremaratioknivesdivision.eu/english/index.html )
Lion Steel SR-1 ( http://www.lionsteel.it/fast/k/en/eur/products/mm/35 )
Al Mar Sere 2000 ( http://www.almarknives.com/sere-2000-p-56.html )
Grayman Satu Folder ( http://www.graymanknives.com/satu.html )
Viper Start ( http://www.filofiel.com/tienda/popup_image.php?pID=6296&osCsid=hsluahtoi )
Wilson Star-light ( http://shopwilsoncombat.com/Star-Li...l-_-Hogue-Knives/productinfo/WTK-STARLIGHT-L/ )
Has anyone had any experience with these knives? What would you recommend?

Both the Lionsteel SR-1 and the Grayman Satu are on my "to own" list. If I were to buy one right now, it would be the Satu. Lionsteel makes fantastic knives though and the SR-1 is definately a beast.

I note you're in Australia. You might have trouble getting one or all of those knives due to Customs. :thumbdn:

Not really, there are multiple Australian stores that sell all these knives, as long as they aren't automatic opening or double edged its fine :)

The only one that I've personally handled is the Ti SR1. It is an awesome knife just by its construction alone but I ended up selling it for one reason. The way the handle swells upward at the butt is extremely uncomfortable. It pushes up into the palm. If it just had a downward slope instead, I would've kept it. Great knife but poor ergonomics.

While I haven't actually held the Viper Start, I do have a few Viper knives. Personally, I love them and think they are better than Lionsteel. My personal favorite is the Viper Gent. I own three of them... Bone, amboyna burl and olive wood. A bit smaller than what you're you're looking for, but excellent nonetheless. While they do lack thumb studs, they are easily opened with one hand. The only bad thing about Viper knives is the giant logo on the blades. Otherwise, the N690Co steel is very good. Comparable to VG10 with excellent corrosion resistance. Unfortunately, they are mainly available from Italian sellers only. Value wise, they are a bit more expensive, but the models I have are well executed with excellent blade centering and early, solid lockup. Other than the three Gents, I have a Quality and a Timeless. Can't go wrong with Viper.

Can only speak to the Grayman....awesome knives and awesome people to deal with. I find their knives to be bomb-proof. Good luck.
