I've been searching the web and forums, but can't seem to find what I'm looking for. Does anyone make a folding pry bar knife? Kind of like the Tactool, but pocket-sized.

Thanks

Peter Atwood makes a variety of compact pry tools, but none of them fold. Check his wbsite out. Atwood Knife and Tool. Lots of neat stuff.

Maybe I am not up to speed with the current knives but to me a folding prybar is an oxymoron. Prying with a knife is a questionable practice at best let alone with folding one.

I think it isn't a good idea, however you could look at the Extrema ratio Fulcrum II or MPC, they have a very thick blade (6 mm)! The lock is also very strong.

P.S. Umberto, are you Italian?

Gerber used to make a sharpening steel that folded into a leather sheath. The steel had a chisel shaped end and was designed to be used as a pry bar or to split wood.

Better to get a 5" prybar than a 9" when open folder. The pivot will always be the weak link and no matter how strong and will be subject to force that is multiplied by the leverage.

I don't know what you are prying, but the folding crate opener on the Swisstool always worked for me...

Thanks for the suggestions and the link to the previous post. I don't need super heavy-duty prybar- I just thought a prybar/knife folder would be a cool addition to my collection.

Why do you get a Bug Out Bar or Mini Bug Out Bar from Peter Atwood to compliment your knife? Or even at Atwood PryBaby? I can not say enough good things about Peter and his amazing gadgets.
