I love my CRKT large folding razel, It's cut more stuff at work than a cold steel video, I do wish however it was a true front chisel, but I made it so. G.
Also i'd have to call it a frame lock, locks like a safe, and for very little $

Agree for the price it's a heck of a knife. It's seeing more and more EDC time with me. That is one useable blade design, and it locks up really well. It's making me lust after a Graham even more

I bought one last year and just got around to using it. It looks like the knife to have in my pocket when I am doing any kind of work around the house. It seems VERY well built for the price. And the locking side is twice the thickness that I would have expected. It is more of a frame lock.

I just ordered the folder after having really liked the CRKT ringed version. I just can't walk around with the ringed one at the office. The ringed carries beautifully in my right front pocket though, really don't even know it's there. It just has too much handle exposed for the sheep in NJ, particularly in an office building.

I really just don't like bone and other jigged type surfaces or I'd have a stubby too, but I'm thinking about getting a stubby and a chunk of micarta and trying to rescale one.

I'm actually pondering an SS7 for hiking around in the woods too, though it may retire the Rajah II I use for that now.

I really like these blades for general use, I don't feel hesitant at all to just grab it and tear into whatever I need them for, unlike some of my thinner bladed knives. For 3" and as thick as the blade is, I have been shocked at how well it actually slices too. I can shave paper thin slices off an apple with the ringed with no trouble (I did reprofile and balance the bevels tho with an EdgePro).

I know I'm going to own all of them at some point. The Graham versions are just too expensive with the potential of having one taken from me around here. I'd be in trouble for sure if someone tried to confiscate a $450 knife.

Now...the wait for it to get here ;-).

This will dry shave my arm with no problem and huck tiny strips off the edge of a sheet of paper.

Got the folder in today...very happy. It's a solid piece with a nice solid liner lock and the LAWKS system (I actually like it). it's dense, has some heft to it.

The edge bevels were totally out of whack, just like the ringed razel and the factory edge was pretty awful. A couple hours with the EdgePro and I'm in business. Took a fair amount of time to get the one side balanced so this steel should hold an edge pretty well..it's pretty hard stuff.

The micarta handles aren't horrible either. For the <$50 I paid for it, I'm more than happy.

I don't like the tiny silver hideaway clip much as the main heavy clip sits nice and low anyway. Also the mini clip blocks the lanyard hole. I'll have to hunt myself down a small torx bit as the set I have stops at #10 and it's not small enough. Figures.

Hmm now I'm missing the SS7 and the stubby....

I've never been a big fan of crkt. but i do like the design of the razels, one question... how would you dig a piece of metal out of your arm with one?
