Haven't posted here in a while, but wanted to share this.

I have been doing a lot of winter survival in the last month. The piece of equipment that surprised me the most is my Bahco folding saw.

I was not nice to it, not at all. It chewed through frozen hard wood, I saw it bend without breaking. Many of the other guys had the Buck folding saw, and a lot of them broke (the lock mostly).

I also was able to take down a 5" tree without much effort.

(I also haven't put trees down in a while, which is why I had to saw twice on the back side)

For less than 20$, it's a great deal.

I'm glad to hear this.
I got my Bahco over the winter and have yet to use mine. It will see plenty of use this Summer and Spring.

Our head instructor also used it a few times. We have a saying:"If he doesn't break it, you know it's good stuff".

I have a hard time choosing which knife to bring. I don't have that problem with my silky. For me it's a no nonsense get the job done tool. Saws are great for the outdoors.

I have a Bahco, Corona, and Silky pocket boy. I don't think you can go wrong with either one. The Corona probably cuts the best out of the three, but it's also the largest of the three. Haven't tried to cut through frozen wood yet, so it's good to know that Bahco can handle it. Looks like you had some fun OP:)

Sun was going down. I saw that tree as the jackpot for night firewood. I was right :)

I take my Corona camp saw whenever I go into the woods. Altough an axe is still the king in my book
