Folding Saws Anyone?

Sorry if this has been asked before, but I find myself in need of a good folding saw. I know someone makes one with the teeth wider than the spine of the saw to prevent it from binding up. Are there any other "must have" qualities such a saw should have?
Who makes the best is the simplest way to put it.
Thanks,
Lenny

I have one of these Gerbers, it is a pretty awesome folding saw. It comes with a nice Cordura sheath with belt loop and Velcro flap closure. There is also an additional pocket inside hich accommodates the second blade, which sits inside of a plastic sleeve. Two blade styles come with this saw - coarse teeth and fine teeth. The coarse will rip through limbs like there is no tomorrow. To be honest, I neve have used the fine tooth that came with mine, never had the need to. Blade changes are quick and easy. Open up the blade and unscrew the pivot bolt by hand, depress the lock release and pull the blade out of the handle. Reverse the steps to insert the other blade. Oh yeah, the saw does lock in the open and closed position.

On the handle there are two large inlays of gator skin textured Kraton (similar to their Gator series folders) and the entire handle is ergonomically shaped to prevent hand slippage in either direction. Great saw for the value, I highly recommend it.

I second the vote for the Gerber Exchange Blade sport Saw.
Light weight, very efficient saw, comfy handle.
You'll like it.

Yep, The Gerber is one awesome cutting tool. Only saw I've ever found that will cut an old hedge
post like it isn't there. Good stuff it is.

I have a folding Browning saw which I have used for many, many backpacking trips and it just keeps on cutting. Even my wife likes it.

I recently saw an ad for a new Gerber saw that is described as having "Double cut sawtooth design blade with gold titanium nitride coating for exceptional edge retention." That got my interest. Has anyone tried this model?

"Sven Saws" are an excellent choice. Light wt. aluminum frame, they collapse into themselves and come in 2 sizes & replacement blades are available. I got mine from EMS.
Also, my buddy bought me a "What-A-Saw" it has a better grip, 3 non-replacable blades (hacksaw, fine and coarse wood saw) and is a little trickier to assemble (2minutes instead of one!)
Both are light and store with the teeth covered and work well on limbs up to 3-4". Heartilly recommended :)

I've noted an ad or two for the Gerber, and have been intrigued. Will have to find one and check it out.

I have a folding saw made by Felco. Felco makes the Mercedes Benz of gardening sacateurs. The blade is about 6" long, the handle is plastic, and it weighs next to nothing. Cuts like a real son of a gun. If one had a 4" log in front of them, could have it cut easily before the Sven saw could be put together and one started sawing. (I have and love the Sven saw too.)

I got my Felco at Gemplers Inc: http://www.gemplers.com/

I really like the orange handles of the Felco. Helpful for somebody as forgetful as I.
