There is actually quite a bit of difference.
The Specwar handle was originally on a fixed blade, however that handle shape translates nicely to a folder. Some of the fellows call it a "guarded handle". I personally love the shape, it feels as though it was made just for my hand.
The relatively new Blackbird is a G-10 handled variant of the old Raven series. The Ravens have a Kydron handle with unique checkering. The Blackbird is a lot more kind to pockets, with its smooth texture, but I'm still in favor of the Raven!
