Food and cooking subforum?

I think we need a food/cooking subforum, where people can talk about the food they enjoy to cook and eat, talk about the knives they like to use in the kitchen, etc.
Recipes, ideas, methods for preparation.
Eventually a sticky or two, that details how you clean a fish, gut and chop up different animals into pieces one can utilize further would also be a great thing.

Atleast that's something i'd enjoy seeing in here.
What can i say? I'm a foodie, and i doubt i'm the only one here. :thumbup:
 
Not to be a wet blanket, but this is bladforums, not everythingInLifeForums.com.
 
By the way, this is not to say that some food- and cooking-related threads can't be done here at bf.c. Those involving knives might go nicely in the General Forum. And food- or cooking-related threads can go in the Community Center from time-to-time too.

My vote is not for a how to bake cokies sub forums but like the OP how to clean fish an so on I have alot of knowledge in this sort of stuff an I have been emailed a few times from people wanting to know how to butcher a hog although I guss most of thoes things could also be found on youtube,Chris :)
 
Crazy weird wanderings on the web have led me to a couple of different food and cooking forums where they talked extensively about kitchen knives, steel types, and sharpening methods.

I'd predict you might enjoy better kitchen conversations about knives within a cooking forum than you would enjoy kitchen conversations about cooking in a knife forum. There's no harm in being part of different forums of course, although it is a testament to BF that so many folks want these things added here rather than go elsewhere!
 
If I can ever get the server issues knocked completely out, we'll add 5 billion subforums.

Until then.... it's BladeForums.
 
How about a knitting forum? You know, for those members who like to knit and talk about various yarns and needles and maybe the tactical knives they use to cut the yarn.

Humm... When i suggested this, i had hoped for viewpoints without as much tounge in cheek as i've gotten. But i'll take what i get.
I understand that this is Bladeforums, and not cookingforums, but my suggestion was more intended to cater (Excuse the pun.) to knife-users.
Now that i've had a while to think about it, it would fit in well with the W&SS-crowd, as they often talk about food, camp-cooking, cooking utensils, etc.
I guess i should've been more clear in my suggestion from the start, but as they say. Hindsight is 20/20.

I also understand if my suggestion is thrown out the window. There are many subforums as it is.

Take it easy, and all that.
 
Don't take it to heart, cooking threads are generally well recieved, even in the cove. I'de avoid W&SS for that though, most of the recipes there involve roasted possum and deer scat.
