The Ghurka Khukri Forum over at Knifeforums is dying, the moderator over there has not been there in over a month and the members will be looking for someplace else to hang and talk. It would be nice for them to be able to feel they are welcomed here. I understand the situation with Burafan,00-buckshoot, etc,ect. is was frustrating and agravating. But with people like "Buiselee" pointing fingers at everyone do you think they would want to be apart of this forum. I for one feel Rusty was totaly justified in his actions as was everyone elses feeling towards the situation. But it is time to move on and open the doors to other would be forumites. And bring this cantina to the social level that it was designed for. And for those of you who feel that I am another a.k.a. burafan have Rusty or Uncle Bill check my I.P. address and see if they compare or even come close.
 
CB from the tone of a couple of your previous post's I was wondering about you as well, but I did the same as I have and will continue to do in BF's case, which is wait and see.
Time almost always proves who is who...
And you've proven to me that you're not a reincarnation of our current troll for whatever that's worth.:)

So please do as Nasty asks in another post and try to calm down a bit and be one of the *great* sports. It's always understandable when new, really new, members show up with a low post count and get accused of perhaps being the troll in question.
If that person isn't trolling his/her continuing post's will prove it soon enough.:D

And welcome to the Cantina or Psycho Ward as the title fits.;):D
 
What Yvsa said. Bruiselee is known for kidding around a lot, I don't think he meant to offend. Stick around for a while and I think you'll see what we're all about, current silliness notwithstanding.

Sorry my anger got the best of me. And I do understand. Yes I finally registerd in NOV 2003, but I have been lurking around since 1999 when I joined Khifeforums. I used to just keep my opiion and thoughts to myself but you guys seemed like a nice bunch to hang with so I finally registerd. Thanks for the welcome.
 
Glad to have you. Don't sweat it, you made a good point actually. Things were getting out of hand, we all needed to step back and cool down for a few seconds.

It was, at worst, a very gentle suspicious finger pointed. And it was done in good humor and with great latitude.

Cyberbeast, welcome. Don't fret. The humor, attitude and demeanor of the forum is generally much more genial, informative, and light-spirited.

There's an old saying: something something once, shame on you; something something twice, shame on me. I don't remember if there was a category for the fifth something something.

I suspect I can speak for most, if not all forumites, in saying we wish the best recovery and life for the troubled in the world.:)

Bruiselee is adroit and I've rarely seen him mistep. He really is one of a kind. He'll tell you which kind.

I don't think Bruise would intentionally accuse any one of something bad unless he was pretty sure of what he was saying. I've read a bunch of his one liners and other jokes. I have also read posts when he was serious and informing folks of facts or, giveing an honest opinion about some portion of a thread.

I for one am glad we have a few members of this forum who have the ability to inject a bit of humor into some of the posts that start to get a bit dull. As far as out and out BS. I don't think that is Bruise. Seems like a pretty steady head to me. Glad he is around. :)
 
Bruise is a favorite of everyone I think...is he a professional writer? Professional comedian? I've wondered...he really comes out with the best lines, the most original insights...

And he *has* said that is job requires taking verbal abuse...

This is a bit of overstatement. As stated, Bruise is a good guy, one of the funny & bright guys here.

I can understand yer irritation at being singled out and feeling persecuted. You just came in at a weird time. I can honestly say there was no harm meant by Bruise. He's prolly back there bitin his nails and feeling bad that you took it like that.

Let me clear the air with a bit o' sage and add my welcome to the list!
 
Cyb, ask yer buddies to lurk around the forum a bit and see if they like the place. If they can hang with the rest of us, dig our posts and feel compelled to jump in and play, I'm sure we'll all get along smashingly.

Be sure to warn them about HIKV!
