The boys wanted to practice building a fire using their fire steel so we got some gear & went to the back yard. The boys gathered up some tinder & wood & I threw in a little drier lint to make it a little easier on them to get it to catch. They set up & went to work...

We had a good time this eve. I was proud to see them so interested in trying to build their own fire & to see them get one going !

That's great man. Life is so much about sharing knowledge and taking time to bond and pass it on. Very cool.

Thanks for sharing...it's amazing how just making a fire can be a big accomplishment for young kids. Also, it's a great way to spend time with your kids and these are the memories they'll remember.
