Was bored at work so I started cutting random things.

couldnt find any newspaper as a member has a freehanging newspaper test, mine cut through normal printer paper in the same fashion but want to try newspaper when I get a hold.

Sometimes paperthin is too thick

That is pretty awesome. How do you sharpen your knives ?

P.S: I hate you - I'm tryin' to lose weight and you've made me hungry now ;)

A 8000 grit stone is about all I use nowadays.

about twice a year ill re profile on a 1000 and 4000, then back to 8000 twice a week for about 30 seconds each time.

good thing I didnt slice paper thin steak slices haha.

I do it at home for fun, who doesnt like sharp knives right?

I tend to give my old yanagis to my friends and they always hold it like its a lightsaber haha!

Usually no one understands how sharp these single bevel knives are until you cut something and the blade simply knocks cuttingboard like you cut air.
