Sebenza or William Herry and why.

OK, hold the flames I tried the search function 3 times and each time I come up with a blank page? If someone else has better luck please steer me in the right direction.

All answers appreciated as I am on the fence and have my choice of either as a gift from my wife.

Thank you.

John

You can get a Seb for a lot cheaper. Even one with inlays. Y'know what? I had the opportunity to get one last year. Thought it would just be a dress knife. Now, I am considering carrying just my Sebs and Strider. Still have lower priced fixed blades, probably gonna keep my Military and Ritter Grip, but thats about it. Some of the best designed production knives out there. Y'know what else? I have to stop thinking about them as productions. For all intents and purposes they are customs.

I think I would go for the Benchmade 710 AND the Spyderco Military AND the Fallkniven P1 AND the Kershaw Leek, instead.

I'm more a fan of the Sebenza's workmanship, but I think the William Henry knives have an artistic edge in most cases.

Sebenza. If you want a knife that can look pretty, and do hard work, get the Sebenza. The WH can look extremely nice, but is probably much less durable than any knife by CRK.

They are both very different knives. WH is more gentleman type knives and sebenzas are heavier duty. Sebenzas are more able to take abuse while WH look better, and carry easier. A more direct comparison would be a CRK mnandi versus WH.

It is a knife your wife will be proud to have given you. Just like jewelry, good looking and WH is functional. I love mine and they have been my EDC for years.

The Sebenza and the WH are very different. The WH is a gentleman's knife, made for easy pocket carry, pride of ownership and light to medium use. The Sebenza is a much larger working knife, made to exacting standards and smooth as butter. So really there is an easy choice here--What do you want to use it for?
If the WH fits, then as JoHnYKwSt says, have a look at a Mnandi.

Thank you all for the input. Seeing as I am more of a knife user that I am gentleman I have decided to go with the Sebenza and never look back.

IMHO WH is more a show knife with slightly more complicated lines and a better fashion look, while a sebby is a workhorse and isn't quite meant to look good, but be pushed around and used hard.
