Well, I stopped by and saw my friend today, and gave him the 15" ang khola of mine that he had been lusting over. He was surprised that I was letting him have it, and he had startedto offer to pay for it later, but I refused, and told him he had earned it other ways. It was sort of sad to see it go, but in the same token very joyful to give it to someone who I knew really appreciated it and that I owed so much to. Happy-sad I guess, but honestly more happy than sad. It really made his week I think.

So now the search begins for a replacement!

As for hunting for a replacement, that's the most fun!

Yeah, looking at more Khukri's will never truly be a chore will it? ;)

As happy as it made him, it was worth three times the price. The best part is I know he will well and truly use it, so it won't be a useless gift at all. If I had been thinking I should have gotten his picture with it... maybe I'll see if I can get a picture of him with it later.

I am sure that your friend will remember you every time he uses that blade.
The hunt for your new khukuri will be interesting. They say that it will call for you---- it's been eight times I have answered the siren's song and I see no end in sight.:D
I recently picked up a 15" AK and I can see why it is so well thought of.
Light and capable, it is almost perfect as a go to the woods blade.
I am sure that when you find a replacement it will bring a smile to your face as big as the first one you gave to your friend.

Well, Ms. Yangdu was kind enough to get in touch with me today - she said she had a Chiruwa Ang Khola for me, I belive from her new shipment. So I excitedly took it! s my replacement is on it's way!
 
Good news to hear snowandsteel. See...you did make the right move gifting your AK and now here's your reward. Keep 'em flyin'.
