An old elk hunter in Oregon is going to be happy when he gets this. It's a surprise gift from his cousin,he won't know anything about it until he gets it in the mail.
D-2 blade steel @ 61Rc,1/8" spine,4 5/8" long, hollow ground on a 14" wheel, hand rubbed to 400 grit,416 stainless bolsters, peened and dovetailed, black and white spacers, dymondwood scales, mosaic pins and a nickel silver lanyard hole liner, flared to secure the scales to the end of the knife. The knife is 9 1/8" overall length. I wet formed the leather sheath in a vacuum seal bagging system that I use to bag meat for the freezer,I didn't realize that the textured inside of the bag was going to imboss the pattern on the leather but it was a pleasant surprise when I saw it.
Y'all enjoy!

I like the knife, I like the unexpected gift idea and I love the textured sheeth!

Good looking knife, I like the blade shape, the spacers, and I think the sheath is really cool. You should make that part of your repertoire.

Very impressive. Being an old Elk hunter in Oregon I'm really hoping to see this in my mail.:D

The Elk hunter that does get this will be well pleased I am sure. This looks like a very comfortable knife with a great blade shape and perfect steel for the job.
