A little sneak preview of something probably very similar in size/design
All I can say is WOW,,,, this is my first custom leather, and it is a work of functional art.
Wish I could say it will stay this pretty,, but that hunk of SR101 is going to be a user,, and get beat accordingly.
This combo is chestnut and green stitching.

Nice Patriot pants for your 1111, glad to see you went with Skyler.

How do you like the Rapid Release Retention Straps?
 
That looks great! Is there any chance you have a picture with the snap open? I have been very curious how far it pulls the closure back when it's open
 
Love the release system,,, so easy and simple,,
Nemesis, which snap do you want a pic of,, the retention one or the quick release?
 
No issue ever with getting the blade hung up on insertion or extraction, nor is there a risk of slicing off your retention strap.

I love this feature.

Not even close to slicing the strap,,, I got a Gunny sheath for my AMS, which fits very well but I do have to consciously make sure I don't slice the strap each time.
 
Did you have to send in, or did Skyler have the 1111 in house?

I thought his old site had 1111 sheaths but then they disappeared, I never got one and ended up going kydex but damn I like leather so much more.
 
It can be wound tighter if needed to make it really snap open. I can also do a triple setup, never need to but there is room to do so. The shape for the BS will be slightly different mostly towards the tip, I try to follow the lines of the knife with this sheath design.
The 11 is a big ol slab of steel, added to my wish list. I never get tired of big knives.
 
I honestly could not be any happier with that sheath Skyler, you are a true craftsman and an artist. I am insanely happy with that 1111, I've said it before but I always consider it to be as close to a battle mistress in SR 101 as you can get,,, at least for right now :D

I did send it in, it was worth it for sure as Skyler had mentioned the handle would be different than the Battle saw.
 
+1 for Skyler. His leather work is GREAT. I have 3 of his sheaths, AMS, TGLB and ESEE Junglas. I can't wait to "need" another. Mine are all "Skystorm", I guess I need some Patriot in the collection :)
 
No worries there, I keep all the Angry Gnome dies for my personal stuff, or if someone still wants the old mark. I was a bit surprised how many people liked that logo.

My TGLB sheath is one of your early ones, I like it a great deal !!!! I also like the angry Gnome..!!! I use to work with a guy who was just like it !
