you can see how there is so much variation in the thickness of the distal taper to the point. Hard to find two that are alike.

yes, they are. Some of the later models were more consistent and even thinner, but anything with the 1 of 300 grind was really thin except some of the early ones.

yes, but not in that pic if you are talking about a swedge like your Hood user. I have a user just like your hood user and it has the same swedge on it and same smooth handle, they could be twins.

yup, I have one exactly like it. Actually two, but one has the swedge like yours and the other is a 1 of 300 both with the same handles as yours.

Yes, I have a few more than what is in that pic. In fact one of the knives in that pic is a 1 of 6 that I no longer have. Another dumb move on my part, but to a good hog.:thumbup:
