This is scary for anyone who travels frequently by plane!

Actual crack in a Domestic DC-9 window frame!
Fliers beware of the sub standard maintenance on the airplanes that you fly on.

You won't believe this when you see it, this is an actual crack that was found in the window frame on a DC-9.

This could have caused a major in-flight problem!

I sent this to a friend in aircraft certification to see what action the FAA could take on this problem.

I heard that the DC-9 isn't all that it's cracked up to be anyway.
I guess that we were just lucky that there wern't more cracks visable.

...we're also lucky that crack wasn't bigger.

I work for Boeing and we would never allow a crack like that, I'm sure Cobalt has some better crack pictures.

Wow, the airlines are REALLY starting to cut back on costs...now they are hiring plumbers to work on planes! :p ;) :D

you guys and your "crack" puns...I don't have the brain power or energy to think of one of my own, so I won't even take a crack at it...

Well I was thinking aout this photo, and if I was going to be at Blade West I'd be a little cautious about getting too drunk around some guy posting Man Crack.

By then maybe I'm just a bit too cautious from living in San Francisco all my life.

Git ur fax str8, Stinky. That's a Boeing 737-4B7, not a DC-9. :thumbdn: And you call yourself a pilot. ;)

I don't care what kind of craft it is. I have decided to drive since I can handle any cracks that come along all by myself.
