These aren't all Model #1-7's, but should give you a fair idea of what's available. I owned these knives in the last few years, and have other photos of similar if this doesn't cover it. I'll add 'em as found. Feel free to ask any questions you might have...

OK, I've lost track of where I was - some of these in the last set may be duplicates...

Sheldon,

That one dressed in green was nice, I would also like the classy one in leather from the 70's, she might have a couple years on me, but class is always sexy.

The older ones just pop out, before you see the buttons, check the stone and spacers, you catch that 30+ year old grind.

You obviously have incredible taste Ron. I was thinking exactly those thoughts.
The green one is really eye-catching. I don't remember seeing another like it.

It was Jade Green G-10, I think Treeman Knives supplied the material - if it had had metal spacers I prolly woulda kept it...

I've owned a lot of Model #1's, with more on the way - I grabbed all but the last of those photos from one folder...

Thank you. We do have similar taste. Watch for Rick as well, I've only seen a few of his RMK photo's and he has good taste in options as well.

I feel jaded. Very nice ones, Shel. Thanks for sharing!

Ah, you're welcome Raf - and don't be jaded brother, black is beautiful too... ;)

I had picked up a channeled block of jade green G10 from Jim Behring to be put on a #14. My order got messed up, the knife wasn't what I wanted... but, my uncle was more than happy to take it. :D I think I'll stick with the run of the mill black linen.

Wow Melvin that is a wonderful collection. I particularly love this one........ View attachment 314889

Please tell us about it.........

Steven

Hi Steven,

It was a late 1980's through 1995 production Model #1-8 with a O1 Tool-Steel blade, standard hilt and spacers, finger-grooved Black Micarta handled knife with lanyard and compass...RMK Fighters configured like that are very light feeling and fast in the hand.

Here's another, in some ways similar, #1-7 that Knifeforums.com owner and friend Jim Nowka talked me out of over Scotch and seegars up at his place in Michigan last year...a very light, uber-sharp, fast 'camp/fighter' model. One of the few I truly regret giving up; but hey, he's a good friend, it went to a good home, and will likely see lots of use. :)

Note the blade spine thumb notches - not something usually seen on Model #1's...
