For Cutting Contest What is the type of blade most often used by winning competitors?

I'm just wondering what kind of knife is used, whether it is a one contest only type of steel and edge, size, etc. I enjoy seeing the contest on You Tube, just wondering what these professional cutting folks use in their hobby.

 
Sharp knives! Sharp knives made of steel! Other than that, I have nothing useful to offer, though I look forward to the real answers.
 
Id like to see Lynn Thompson go through this course w a magnum tanto or trailmaster; seems like the blades used in this are much more of a cleaver style .
 
10 inch blade.
2 inches wide
5 inch handle. (Maximum)
Steels that win are typically:
CPM 4V
VANADIS 4 EXTRA
CPM 3V
CPM M4
But other steels are used too.

Knife can be any thickness and hardness you choose. Thickest I have heard of was 0.414 thick. With the average being 0.375 (3/8ths).
