Hello Dijos

I am sending a horse and a mule over to Jacksonville in Feb from AZ. I was wondering what most horse owners in FL are using for feed? So far the few folks I have talked to that have lived east say grass and maybe a little grain with some vitamins and they will be just fine.

thx

Mine are on 10% feed, 1or 2x a day, and some t&a Hay. They also graze all day, the lucky ducks. They could easily survive on grass, depending on the season. February is not exactly prime grass growing season, but it's still growing. The only concern I have is enough water-Today it's cold, but it was in the 70's last weekend. My boy sweats alot, but he's finally adjusting to the temperature (foaled in KY). At least there is plenty of water to be had.

Thx for the reply there shouldn’t be any problems, just want as much info as possible for the new owners.
