Have you noticed that after using your Emerson Wave equipped knives that you have excessive wear of the pocket where the wave feature catches your pants pocket? I'm interested in the Emerson Journeyman or CQC and that thought occurred to me.

I think the G10 scales Emerson uses chews up my pocket much more than the wave, but it contributes a little bit.

Yes! Light pants or shorts (thin materials) will get torn up after a while. Jeans and other "tougher" pants will be fine.

You just need to start wearing "the number one hard use pants in the world!"

Otherwise known as Carhartt.

Yes definitely, and any pant is prone to that wear, Carhartts and Duluth's firehose canvas included.

The zip-tie waves on my spyderco's are even worse.
