Just had my draft. It was a 17 round flex player draft. I was the 6th pick in a 10 team league.

In order:

Jamaal Charles RB
Aaron Rodgers QB
Matt Forte RB
Dez Bryant WR
Anquan Boldin WR
Vernon Davis TE
Daniel Thomas RB
Austin Collie WR
Owen Daniels TE
Ben Roethlisberger (that's right....10th round:D)
Brandon Jacobs RB
Neil Rackers K
Mike Sims-Walker WR
Darren Sproles RB
Dustin Keller TE
Steve Breaston WR
Rams D/ST

Great team. Charles should put up huge numbers with Jones another year older. Took a kicker too early though and what's up with 3 TE's?

I despise Ben Rothlisberger but I think you picked great QBs. I like Brandon Jacobs at RB. No Redskins???

I was actually one of the last to pick a kicker. I think you need to start thinking about a kicker on a good offensive team (Texans) at about that depth in the draft. As far as TEs, my number 2 TE Daniels is prone to injury; plus it just gets to the point where you are picking a bunch of third and fourth rate RBs and WRs that late in the draft.

The Roethlisburger pick at 10 could be one of those picks you look back on after winning the championship and say "that was the one".

Right. I figure I can't play two QBs at once, so I should be able to trade Big Ben for a more productive WR since that is my weak position-- or at least it looks it now. Who knows, maybe that will be a strong one.

Randy Moss has just suggested he might be interested in coming out of retirement, but only if he can play for the Pats again. He is one of the most dominant WRs of all time. Maybe you can get him if he comes back.

Hi komondor -

So how did you fare?

I finished 10-4 in my pay league and am playing round 1 of the playoffs as the #1 seed, projected to win by over 20 points.

mqqn-- Despite my number 1 pick Jamaal Charles getting taken out for the season in the first week, I had the best record in the league for most of the season, and was in the top 2 or 3 all season in scoring. Then the last few weeks I just stopped scoring a lot of points, lost a couple games towards the end (and still had the 2nd best record) and then Matt Forte gets hurt the last week of the regular season. I then got annihilated the 1st round of the playoffs. That's the way it goes. Good luck to you!

esevato-- Nope, no Tebow. But I think someone picked him up. Too bad you can't get fantasy points for pure inspiration.

Hi komondor -

Yea - that is why this is the most frustrating pastime for which you can partake - no matter how much studying, reading, looking at all the local news; all it takes is one injury and all is lost.

I am struggling this week with my QB choice - I have Stafford and Romo. Stafford has been the better all season, with Romo showing spurts of greatness, last week being one.

For the record - here is my current team:
QB Matthew Stafford, Det
RB Felix Jones, Dal
RB Reggie Bush, Mia
WR Roddy White, Atl
WR Victor Cruz, NYG
TE Rob Gronkowski,
D/ST 49ers D/ST
K Neil Rackers, Hou

I had 8 trades over the season, picking up Bush and Cruz late in the season. The Gronk was a nice draft choice for me (96th pick in round 10).

best regards -

I've had a rough year with many key injuries but have been able to stay pretty close to the top. Im only in a 7 team
leauge so there were always plenty of players to pick up off the wire.

My current line up right now:

QB Tom Brady
WR AJ Green
WR Marques Colston
WR Miles Austin
RB Michael Bush
RB Chris Johnson
TE Antonio Gates
K Sebastian Janakowski
D N. Bowman
D Jared Allen

Bench
Jason Witten
Julio Jones
L. Robinson
B. Roethlisberger
Darren McFadden

Fred Jackson, Kenny Brit, Darren McFadden, Miles Austin(For most of the season) were all the key injuries.
Next season its all about picking up running backs that aren't injury prone and are consistant. Ray Rice,
M. Jones Drew, L. McCoy. But I guess you never know whats gonna go down through out the season.

Stafford and Romo is a tough choice but Romo has all his recievers back and healthy and you saw the numbers he put up last week
against the Giants. Stafford vs Oakland.... Oaklands defense either looks really great or cant defend worth squat. Romo vs Tampa Bay...
Tampa has been really subpar this season both on offense and defense. I think it might be a big day for Romo on the Saturday night game.
But then Stafford and Megatron can always connect on some hail marys to produce some big numbers.
