for flippers: tip up or tip down?

I just got my first flipper, a ZT 0350. I'm concerned with the blade opening in my pocket if someone accidentally bumps me and by sheer chance, hits the thumb flipper protrusion thing, disengaging the blade. So...how do you guys prefer to carry flippers?

I was thinking of moving the pocket clip from the standard, tip down, to a tip up carry, putting the blade spine against the end of my pocket. I think this way, no matter if I get bumped on the thumb protrusion, if the blade wants to open, the spine will hit the back of my pant pocket and not cause the blade to open fully.

You've got it right.

I'm a lefty so tip down is fine as is tip up, left side. If the knife is clipped properly it can't open. Even my auto won't open in my pocket when I depress the switch.

Tip up is how I like my flippers, for safty and it makes it easier to use the flipper IMO.

Don't want to be half the man I use to be.
