I know Jeff likes this stuff, so here goes. If you have any old shaving stuff, post it up!

My great grandfather`s shaving mug and I think his brush (well over 100 years old). It has his name on it (misspelled) because in those days you had a mug at home, and kept one at the barber shop.

My first razor that I got when I was 15 years old, a Gillette Regus.

As someone who has had a beard near continuously since the age of 17, shaving accoutrement is something I have never invested much in. But the older stuff - like your great grandfather's mug & brush - are cool to look at. My Dad had a shaving mug and brush but I don't know what happened to it. Nor does Mom. Shame...

I don`t shave much myself, 3/4 of the year I have a beard, and I`ve had my mustache since I was 17. Shaved it off once, for a bet, but grew it right back.

Cool stuff John, thanks for posting! I'll post a photo of my vintage razors later.

I wore a beard for the last 25 years or so and just went clean shaven last year. I figured that since I committed to shaving regularly, I might as well have some fun with it and started a razor collection.

Here's one for now. This is a military issue Gillette Khaki set from WWI.

Golly jeepers, all I have is this stuff.:D
When I started shaving back around 1981 I decided to use a straight. I've never been one to do what everyone else does so I followed my anachronistic tendencies and bought a couple of Solingen straights. I loved shaving with them but somewhere along the way they disappeared along with a lot of other things in my last divorce.
Last year I bought this one for my birthday to begin shaving the right way again.

I was in heaven. Or so I thought.
Recently I received this Carbo-Magnetic hollow ground beauty and it shaves unbelievably. I can't even feel it shaving it's so smooth.

At the same time I received this R.Rodgers and son Sheffield wedge. It has quickly become my favorite of all time. A man should not be this confident when putting something this sharp up to his neck but this blade gives me that confidence.

BTW, having a razor that has been professionally honed makes all the difference in the world. These have all been honed by Unit and they are a dream to use.

This is my GGF's Torrey that I had reconditioned by Maggard Razors.

When I had my beard I would use the Gillette Good News, two bladed, blue plastic beauty with hand soap to keep my neck clean.

I Like this thread and love old razors and stuff.

I don't shave often, maybe a few times a year but when I do I use a straight razor.

This DOVO was my first straight razor and I learned to hone and strop a razor on it. You can tell by looking at the edge as it's not perfect. It's still a good shaver.

This is my favorite razor and it is a very smooth shaver. I got it on ebay several years ago in basically mint condition for around $30. It is a FLIC and from what I have read, the FLIC razor company was an export company of Max Voos, Soligen Germany.

Here are a few more I have but never used much. I bought the one on the left with the yellow handle because it was made in Union City GA. The one on the bottom has bone handle.

My dad has a Boker razor that was used by his Grand-dad. I hope to have it one day.

Some neat stuff here. I'm not sure if it's a curse or a blessing, but other than my goatee, I can't really grow facial hair so I never acquired any gear. Every few weeks I just trim up anything that might have happened to grow.

There is some great stuff here.
All I have to say for mine is, I have some wonderful friends that have done incredible things for me.
