I know we have some people who work four places to the right of the decimal point. Have any of you ever taken your knives apart, and swept 'em with an indicator?

I've been thinking about the effects of "flat" and "parallel" on how a knife opens and closes. I wonder if the difference is less in bearings or washers, and more in controlled tolerances?

If you've ever been this bored/motivated/curious, I would like to know if anything in your collection (besides the Sebenzas, of course: we all know about CRK's attention to detail) impressed you?

I have been pretty impressed with the CNC prowess of Rike Knife. I can't even figure out how they fixture stuff like this integral.

My company has CNC/machinists and a lot of fancy QC tools. Let's see ...
1. I've pulled out good calipers and checked blade thickness.
2. Used the Rockwell tester and tested some blades. I don't recall anything that fell outside of the stated range.
3. Used tap/die set to clean up threads that were gunky/rough.

Nothing too major or in depth for me.
