For My Second CRK Help Me Choose

I'm far more partial to the Tanto Umnumzaan myself, but that micarta inlay is a rather nice example I would happily own. That ladder and carbonfiber is also very nice knife though I'm a fan of Ti-Ti knives, If I want other materials I will go for inlays or bolsterd scales with said material. :)

Blade swapping is done but it is always better the keep the blade in the handle it was sold in. The blades are hand fitted to the specific handle so you will really just be asking for problems in one way or another by swapping them about.

I will tell you I have the large version of the tanto sebenza with micarta and I love it. It is my favorite knife in my collection and I plan on getting the small to go along with it. Dont hesitate if you like tantos get the sebenza tanto the micarta just makes the handle feel that much better. I had a small plain tanto sebenza and sold it

A bit of Umnumzaan tanto goodness just for the sake of it. :D:thumbup:

I got my CF ladder damascus sebenza from kinfeart a week ago. I'm crazy about the knife but I was more or less set on it to begin with. The tanto looks great with micarta and blue stud+pin but if you've already got a nice ladder damascus collection going, just get the small CF DT Sebenza.

I ordered the small damascus like shown above by harris- but yours looks prettier in that pic then mine does. Maybe you just darkened it a bit. I hope mine is nice in person. I wish mine had a double stud, but ya cant win em all.

Congrats Jon, I think you'll be pleased for a couple of reasons. One, that last pic above is completely unedited. Just a phone camera shot in natural lighting. Knifeart's stock photos actually make the black CF look a little "washed out". Two, I don't think any picture can do the DT stainless damascus true justice. It's just ridiculously gorgeous in person. As someone who has a few damascus blades I think you'll find the DT blade to have a very unique type of finish to it. Three, it's a Sebenza, it can only be categorized as "quite fine" at absolute worst!

I'm not sure if you were referring to me or you about having alot of damascus blades. But yeah Ladder is my favorite pattern and if you look at my website I collect high end Damascus customs. Usually its from an ABS maker and isnt usually as symetrical as DT ladder. I just hope the damascus is darker with more contrast like in your photo, not the knife art photo. Does yours have the double thumb stud? I really wish mine did.

Its funny I kinda think of these as customs, like I have a custom knife in my pocket. They just feel so good. I don't ever get that satisfaction with ANY high end production knives.

No double thumbstuds here. I was referring to you having a lot of Damascus blades, not me. The entire blade has a lot of shine to it but the pattern is pretty high contrast IMO. These pictures might give you a better idea of what to expect, in different lighting.

Beautiful collection btw, some stunning knives in there.

BTW thanks, your post with the photo actually inspired me to get it.
No problem, glad to have influenced you. Another member around here got me onto the DT blades through his pics and posts regarding the steel.

You can send it into CRK and have them put in a double lug. It's not very expensive and you'll have what you want;)
