Here are a few of the Schrade Walden versions of the Navy and Lineman stand alone knives you wqnted to see. The square version ( naval or tobacco cutter style ) is a 163, the Linemans version was a 136. The older Schrade Walden models had the number of the pattern on the obverse side of the tang mark. The later incorporated the number on the tang stamp. Some as is shown had electro etched blades denoting purpose. I hope you enjoy the pics. LT

Thanks, LT. Truly wonderful knives. As usual, I've copied your excellent photos to my Schrade folder. I like these kinda classic old folders, and I like the magazine (KNIFE WORLD) that ran the article on them.

I be an electrician, and courtesy of me, all the guys have hanging on their tool belts a Camillus 1B Pruner. The best of the current lot. They are also marked as and sold by Klein, the big Electrical tool manufactor. Most electricians depend on a cheap razor knife, now-a-days, excepting those who habitually work on heavy cables.

Best Regards,
Phil

ps... if you've read other threads, you'll see that I have tracked down one of the three known Jernigan-Schrade collaborations. Ummm... You don't happen to have one of the other two, do you?

I also like Knife World, Mark the editor has always ( in our dealings ) been an absolute gentleman he also is not afraid to speak what he feels needs to be said. The articles and topics make it ( in my opinion) one of, if not the best publication of its kind. LT

PS No Phil I do not have it, right now.
