Here is the contest Tin Knife and sheath that protourist won.

I decided to do a few "upgrades" to it. I put on black micarta handles.

I also decided it needed red liners.

Then I decided it needed a special sheath. I know protourist is a truck driver by trade, so I left the back of the sheath "rough side out" so it wouldn`t slip out of his pocket. I also added the grommet to the bottom in case he wanted to tie a cord on it attached to his belt.

John, How much would one of the kydex tin knife sheaths cost? I realized I might want one for the freebie I got with my EWOK. Let me know.

You ain't kidding! I feel like a five year old the week before Christmas.:D
I needed a fixed blade that I could have on me anywhere I go. This will be perfect.
Now if I can just make sure that She Who Must Be Obeyed doesn't decide she needs it. I'll have to buy her one when I get to buy myself a Nessmuk.:thumbup:
 
A wonderful little package arived yesterday.
She Who Must Be Obeyed says I have a really cool little knife with a fantastic sheath waiting for me. She was really impressed with the sheath, says it is better made than it looks in the pics! She is making some bird feeders with jute twine and used it to cut the twine yesterday.

I expect that to be true. Although she says she'll "let me have it".:eek:
 
When I was younger my Dad and I would drive to Silverton, Oregon every year to visit my grandmother, it`s really nice country.
 
Really a neat little package. I might need to upgrade one of my little ones. Orrr......;)

The Silverton area is really nice. Sliver Creek Falls is one of my favorite places.
We live 3 miles upriver from Waldport, right on the Alsea River. It is perfect for people that like the outdoors. Yes it gets wet but it is always green!
I'm in Pennsyltucky today, heading to Columbus OH. Who knows from there.
